Privacy Policy

🔒 Your Privacy Matters
My Simple Promise: As a gamer and the creator of GameCalc, I deeply respect your privacy. This site was built to be a helpful resource, not a data-collection machine. GameCalc does **NOT** collect, store, or share your personal information. Period.
This policy explains what that promise means in detail. The calculators work entirely in your browser, and I have absolutely no interest in tracking you.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike many websites, it's easier to list what we *don't* do. We are a "privacy-by-design" project, meaning the entire site is built to avoid collecting your data.
❌ No Personal Information
We don't ask for your name, email, or require you to create an account. You can use the entire site anonymously.
❌ No Tracking Cookies
GameCalc does not use third-party cookies for tracking or advertising. We don't use them to follow you around the web. (See Section 3 on Local Storage for more details).
❌ No Invasive Analytics
We do not use services like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. I don't need to know your browsing habits.
❌ No IP Logging
Our hosting provider may generate temporary, anonymous server logs for security and traffic management, but we do not store or analyze IP addresses to identify users.
❌ No Data Selling
This one is simple: I can't sell what I don't have. Your data is yours, not a product.
2. How Our Calculators Protect Your Privacy
All calculations happen **entirely on your device** (in your browser). No data you enter into a calculator is ever sent to our server.
- You enter data (e.g., plant mutations, pet levels) into a calculator form.
- Your browser's JavaScript engine performs the calculation instantly.
- The result is displayed back to you on the same page.
- At no point in this process is your input data transmitted over the internet. It stays with you.
This client-side approach means your calculations are completely private. I couldn't see your data even if I wanted to.
3. Use of Local Storage (Not Cookies)
To improve your experience, some calculators may use your browser's "Local Storage" to remember your last-used settings (like a theme preference or previously entered values). This is not the same as a tracking cookie. This data:
- Stays on your device
- Is used only for your convenience, so you don't have to re-enter everything on your next visit.
- Can be **cleared at any time** by clearing your browser's cache and site data.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Links
To support the operational costs of the site (like hosting), GameCalc may display advertisements.
I am committed to using advertising networks that respect user privacy. However, these third-party ad networks (like Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. You can typically manage your ad preferences or opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
The site may also contain links to external websites (like official game wikis or Discord servers). I am not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. I encourage you to read their privacy policies.
5. Your Data Rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Regulations like GDPR and CCPA give users rights to access, correct, or delete their personal data. Because GameCalc is designed not to collect your personal data in the first place, there is no personal data for you to access or for me to delete. Your privacy is protected by design, not by policy alone.
6. Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of children is especially important. GameCalc does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). The service is safe for all ages because it does not require users to submit any personal data.
7. Changes to This Policy
I may update this privacy policy in the future if the site's functionality changes. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. However, the core principle will always remain the same: **I will collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service, and I will be transparent about it.**
8. Questions About Privacy?
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy or your privacy, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Email: [email protected]
I'm committed to transparency and will do my best to answer your questions.
